Ginger Ale Taste Test!!!

The time has finally come for the Ginger Ale Taste Test. The judges were: Leander, Jenny, and Jesse. Celeste poured the Ginger Ale into paper cups with anonymous letters labeled on them, corresponding to the cans.

Leander, Jenny, Jesse, tasted all four brands of Ginger Ale. They followed the criteria below.

The judges circled the number they thought was appropriate, and also wrote notes under the chart. Here are some of their score sheets.

The judges observed many things they had noticed before. They noticed how the shade of the Ginger Ale changed between each brand. Jesse also thought Canada Dry was his favorite, but soon realized after the test it was one of his least favorites. He also noticed how The Whole Foods Brand was surprisingly ginger-y, and how Schweppes was actually quite flavorless.

The winner was...

Seagram's!

Leander and Jesse both rated it highest, saying it was, "not too sweet" and "perfectly carbonated." Jenny however, said Canada Dry was her favorite, but a 2/3 majority took the win.

Ginger Ale Taste Test: Opening Ceremonies.

On the evening on October 18th, 2012, the Ginger Ale Taste Test Opening Ceremonies kicked off.

These brands included Schweppes, Seagram's, Canada Dry, and The Whole Foods Brand (365). Behind the cans of Ginger Ale were images and logos of the brands.

The centerpiece of the table was a sign saying, "The 2012 Ginger Ale Taste Test Opening Ceremonies." And laid out in front of the sign and the Ginger Ale, was of course, the fun facts.

Hanging from the side of the table was the question we've all been asking, "Which of the four brands will take the crown?"

The brand that meets the most criteria and has the highest score will win! The winner will be the brand used by the Cohen family household.

STAY TUNED FOR NEXT POST: The criteria will be presented, along with the judges and referees.
